Before the first question is asked, the setting already tells a story. Kristy, the photographer behind Slow Moments on Film, lives far from the usual rhythms of galleries and deadlines, on a working farm she shares with her husband and daughters—a place where light is measured in seasons, weather, and the slow growth of things. It’s from this grounded, intimate life that her photographs emerge: attentive, patient, and deeply human.

To begin this conversation, we turn to The Proust Questionnaire, a series of deceptively simple questions designed to reveal character rather than résumé. As Kristy answers, we’re less interested in technique than in temperament—what delights her, what unsettles her, and how love, work, and daily life on the farm shape the way she sees the world. Through these reflections, a portrait takes form, not just of the artist behind Slow Moments on Film, but of a woman whose art is inseparable from the life she cultivates at home.
