What has Autumn looked like for you? A whole lot of gardening, cooking, and working through my little girls big emotions... As well as my own.
I find Autumn such a special time of the year where we live, the mornings are crisp and the days warm up to the perfect temperature. Our garden is only native plants and they seem to grow so much through autumn and winter, and so many of them flower in winter so I'm excited to see the garden in bloom so soon.
Autumn rituals? Wake up and throw on some uggs and a jumper! We walk to the chicken coop to collect our eggs and come home to make a tea and eat a mandarine on the stairs on a sunny day. Its such a nice way to start the morning.
What are you looking forward to in Winter? Watching our garden go into bloom, starting to and preparing for the arrival of baby (!) and slowing down a little bit. Winter is birthday and anniversary season in my family so I'm looking forward to celebrating so many people I love.
Three words to describe this current season of motherhood? big feelings, learning & self compassion.
Things I'm loving lately.
- My least favourite thing to do when I wake up is check my phone to see what time it is. So to change this, I have been looking for a wall clock for a while now and I have fallen in love with Jasmine Raisbecks ceramic clock!
- Sen Livings Proust questionnaire interviews - These journal posts are such a beautiful way to get to know someone on a deeper level. I find them so fascinating and always such a easy but delightful read.
- Tucci in Italy! Okay, I love Stanley Tucci and ill watch anything he is in and I have been dreaaaaming of one day visiting Italy, so this show ticks all the boxes for me. I watched searching for Italy on SBS and loved it so im hoping its similar.
- These BEAUTIFUL mugs by Ginny Sims have my heart. The next sale is June 22nd if anyone wants to buy a piece of art to have their morning cuppa in.
- You know how sometimes there are things that would come in really handy but you've never found the right looking one? This has been my predicament with mortar and pestles, until now! The Andesite mortar and pestle.
- These ridiculously cosy looking socks by Field and Potter I think everyone needs a pair of these for winter...
